Monday Morning
04:04
|
|
||
Monday morning, ain't got much to say,
Monday morning, waiting on another day,
Monday morning, waiting on a call today,
Today, today, today.
Driving over, from a house that's miles away,
I'm coming down, from a brand new yesterday.
Today, today, today.
Cutting corners, waiting on the call today,
Whistle mourners, cause I ain't gonna die today,
Today, today, today.
It's Monday Morning, Monday morning, Monday morning.

Circus
03:27
|
|

You lost your temper, lost your cool,
Given up the circus to live by a rule,
Who told you, no more funny rides?
You lost your nature, lost you fool
When you last giggle, jumping in a pool?
Who told you, no more funny guys?
If the love outside is making you feel bitter,
Close your eyes and I'll kiss away the shivers,
Brush your hairs and let you smile glitter, and
We'll run back outside...
Hum, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah!

Flags on the pier,
Eyes filled with fear,
The ship is leaving home,
You're singing all alone.
People stop and stare,
There's poor kids everywhere.
You know what they say?
She gave you away.
Take your brother's hand, but
You don't quite understand,
When he says goodbye, there are
Tears in his eyes.
Wind's turning cold, and
You're only ten years old,
The Official line they say,
We're giving you away.
So where's your mama gone?
Home kids on the run,
Working in the sun,
Praying everyday, but
God's gone away.
Keaney rings the bell,
His lies will go to hell,
He'll sit on your bed,
Say your mama's dead.
Who you love the most,
Charity or ghosts? And
What they gonna say?
They're bastards anyway!
Where's your mama gone?
Who you love the most,
Charity or ghosts?
Never let them say,
She gave you away.

Fiona's Party Talk
03:46
|
|
||
She dresses for the girls night out, a very pretty girl.
She wonders why her friends find men, and why she misses out.
At party talk, Fiona turns to stone,
She'll leave the crowd, wish she stayed at home.
Promotion! Work has been blessed, a chance to digress.
She's thirty, men bore Fee to death: parties, drink mean less and less.
At party talk, Fiona turns to stone,
She'll leave the crowd, wish she stayed at home.
Mother can't understand why she's alone, and
Father calls, 'Fiona comes home, alone!'...
She's walking, past a school again: A child would be nice.
She's talking to her last boyfriend, hoping he'll think twice.
At party talk, Fiona turns to stone,
She'll leave the crowd, wish she stayed at home, and
Mother can't understand why she's alone, and
Father laughs, asking for a grandson.

Oh, I'm walking down the line.
Oh, she's drunken all the wine.
Oh, she's taken all my time.

Why Don't You Need It?
03:05
|
|
||
Why don't you need it?
Why don't you need it?
Why can't I feed it?
Why don't you need it?
You need it, you want it,
Let everyone know you.
If you don't need it, or want it,
Don't let anyone you don't...
Why don't you need it?
Why don't you need it?
Why can't I feed it?
Why don't you need it?
You need it, you want it,
Let everyone know you.
Ha, ha honey, why don't you need it?
If you don't need it, or want it,
Don't let anyone you don't...
Ha, ha honey, why don't you need it?

Young Boy Blues
02:53
|
|

Woman, leave me alone,
Woman, leave me alone... Cos
I'm only a young boy, and
I haven't had experience before...
Woman, put that thing away...
Woman, put that thing away... Cos
I'm only a young boy, and
I haven't had experience before...
I've got those young boy blues,
I'm only a young boy, and
I haven't had experience,
I'm only a young boy, and
I haven't had experience, coz
I feel like a young boy, and
I haven't had experience before.

Blue Tack
02:54
|
|
||
Blu tack on the wall, a
Ringing in the ear,
Trying to remember when
You're last here.
You're poster's coming apart,
The carpet's a little sad,
Never bothered me much,
When you're last here.
When you're last here,
Never tired from your touch,
Never tired from your looks,
Never tired of you.
So peace be with you, and
Peace be with me, and
Peace be our love:
Peace be here.
This house was built for two,
That's neither here nor there,
Cause if it can't hold you,
It can't hold me.
